Rags, Bristle and Zoe

Rags Bristle and Zoe.

Our Story

We purchased our first Bouvier in 1984 after we lost our Standard Poodle. My husband wanted a more "macho" dog to go to work with him each day at our Garden Supply Store, so I began to shop for another breed.

One day I saw a Bouvier in a K9 demonstration on television. I decided I needed to find out more about this breed. I went to a dog show where I fell in love with a beautiful and talented Bouvier named Moose. He was a Best In Show Bouvier but he also could work. A month later we took home his grandson. We named him Angus. Gus was very smart. He went to work with my husband every day. Although the doors were always open and he was always loose, he never left the store without one of us with him. He was a wonderful companion and friend.

I heard of a litter planned combining some excellent Dutch working(Ch.Chantal - a Donar IPO3 daughter) and show lines(Ch.Iboef Darwin VH Grendarcohof). I reserved a female puppy (A repeat breeding the next year produced BIS and BISS Ch. Galbraith's Ironeyes who holds the all time Bouvier show record for winning over 100 Best In Shows).

In Jan 1987 I took home my puppy Chenille. She was to grow to fulfill all of my Bouvier dreams. She finished her Championship, Schutzhund 1, obedience CD title, and herding HT title. She was capable of much much more... Most of all she was my guardian, constant companion and friend. She was intelligent and a jokester. She was the foundation of DeLux Bouviers She had only 9 puppies in her life. The most noted of these is Ch.Emperor's Peaches n' Cream DeLux UDX, HT,TD One of the most titled Bouviers in history.

The years have been good to us. We have produced some wonderful show dogs. Best of all though, we have produced many great companions. We are also proud of the health and longevity of our lines.

My goal as a breeder is to produce an intelligent, healthy and beautiful Bouvier companion dog.
